Animal Hair

As professional hair merchants, we supply Animal hair as well as Human hair. TashaJacks is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of ethics and sustainability within its operations and supply chain.

We have worked in the industry for over 25 years and have well established relationships with our suppliers and have exercised due diligence prior to selecting these suppliers.

The Animal Hair that we supply is clipped/sheared from the animal at source periodically.  Once there has been significant natural regrowth of the hair, the animal is clipped/sheared again.  This is an ethical, sustainable and humane process and no harm comes to the animal during this time.

YAK

Our Yak Animal hair comes from either the Tail or the Belly of the Yak. The Tail yak is quite course and often used for body hair such as beards and moustaches. It is available in lengths from 8″ to 30″ in a natural white colour or can be coloured to order. The Belly yak is softer than the Tail yak and comes in shorter lengths of 6″ up to 12″. Again we can supply this in a natural white colour or colour of your choice. Quantities are from 25g upwards.

MOHAIR

Our soft Mohair is from angora goats and is suitable for baby hair and the finer hair around the front sections of some wigs.

It is available in either 3″-6″ or 7″-9″ in quantities of 25g upwards. Longer lengths are sometimes available on request. We can supply mohair in a variety of natural colours to include white and fawn colours or we can dye the mohair to colour match to a sample, colour chart or photographs supplied.

All our Animal hair can be matched to any sample or colour chart, it is double drawn and hand blended to our client’s requirements. Hair is finished neatly, tied with a cotton tie, ready for use by a qualified technician.
