Beginning life as a pony tail cut from the head, the journey hair takes from this to the point of application, be it as a hair extension or hair piece, can be long and arduous. The process includes washing, conditioning, drying and bleaching [if a specific colour is required], preparing each length separately and finally blending the hair to obtain the desired overall colour.

Each stage of the process can be as problematic as the last as each piece of raw hair, like each individual person, has its own personality and behaves as such. Adding to this, as the hair is loose [not attached to a head] there is the ever increasing problem of root to point. This is where the hair gets turned the wrong way and the root is treated as the end of the hair should be. The results of this can be catastrophic. If applied to the hair this way it would result in the extensions becoming a mass of tangled hair.
